BISIAS ILIAS

Ilias G. Bissias holds a Bachelor and Master's Degree in Law from the University of London. He is since 1998 is the Director of the acclaimed and award winning magazine Greek Shipping Magazine Naftika Chronika (published since 1931).

Since 2008 he has lectured at the University of the Aegean and at the ALBA Graduate Business School of Athens, Greece on the following areas: International Shipping Policy, Corporate Communications and Strategic Communications.

In the past he has also worked for the European Commission (1999-2002) and was with Professor P. D. Dagtoglou a legal correspondent for Greece in the areas of air transport law and policy.

Mr. Bissias is currently researching on the image of shipping and crisis management and on the sociological profile of young Greeks at Sea at the University of the Aegean. Ηe has written numerous articles and has lectured extensively on the following areas: Maritime Policy, Maritime Education, Corporate Communications and Contemporary Maritime History.

He is a Member of the Athens Bar.
