Eva S. Stefanidaki is a Research Fellow at the Department of Shipping, Trade and Transport (STT) of the Business School, University of the Aegean. She holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Piraeus and MSc in Shipping Trade & Transport from University of the Aegean. Eva PhD thesis examines cruise destination development and management through participatory models. Since 2009 she has presented her work in journals and international conferences on the contribution of cruise sector in regional economies, spending patterns and carrying capacity of destinations and has been working on various European and national projects examining maritime industries and regional development. 

She has also been Advisor to the Minister of Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Islands and scientific Advisor to the Minister of Development, Competitiveness and Shipping.
